Welcome to the heart of the Waldviertel!
This village, which has overcome 850 years of history and stories, still lies in the motherly smock of green forests and meadows. It drinks from the brown waters, hears the bubbling of the ancient life of the moors and grasps the granite stones that have survived for thousands of years.
It stubbornly stretches its defiant face towards the Bohemian wind, nestles against the church tower and breathes in the scent of ferns and lycopodium.
From village to market, like a mother hen, it scoops people under its roofs. It knows about the community of people in dispute, strife, festivity and harmony.
